Aqua PURfect Technology
Two Technologies, One PURfect Filter!
Did you know that almost two in five fish owners may be inadvertently shortening the life spans of their fish by by keeping them in tanks with inadequate filtration?
Today's filter structure allows water to pass through, barely coming in contact with the carbon particles ("tea bag" effect), before flowing back into the tank again.
These old-fashion, granular activated carbon filters, only captures a limited number of contaminants (chlorine and chloramine), along with some of the odor and discoloration, requiring multiple filter components to even do a modest job of filtration.
Aqua PURfect's Surface Treated Carbon-filled pad (STAC) is a 4-step, 2-stage process that, by design, significantly increases the amount of water that comes in contact with the STAC on each filtration pass.
Stage One
Mechanical and Bio Filtration

The uniform displacement of STAC throughout media provides significant increase in surface area being used during each cycle, reducing the frequency of water changes. In tests, we've seen tanks go for as long as a year without a water change, with only a need to add water due to evaporation!
Stage Two
Chemcial and Ionic Filtration

Chemical filtration captures a wide range of pollutants including Ammonia, Zinc, Copper, and Lead, in addition to Chlorine and Chloramines. This all happens at a Parts per Billion level of filtration!
Ionic filtration removes harsh metals and organic solids to guarantee your fish are happy and healthy.
